About this trail

Long High-altitude track mostly above 1000m traversing alpine ranges. Rough terrain, boggy areas. On a clear day views to Aoraki/Mt Cook, Mt Aspiring, Southland and even Stewart Island. DOC explicitly states 'vehicle use, motorbikes, and 4WD are allowed on formed roads marked on the map'. Remote — carry warm/windproof clothing and GPS.
